The Dixie Red Delights are a new gathering of some of Vermont’s most talented musicians. Weaving a tapestry of sound around the formidable songwriting and vocals skills of Erin McDermott, the Delights create a unique sound of infectiously soaked fire-grass, steeped in rural Americana and ensconced in alt-country rock.

Featuring the original music of Erin McDermott, who has shared the stage with likes of Grammy Award winner Tim O’Brien and cult favorites Railroad Earth. Doug Perkins, is best known for his work with Smokin' Grass and for his duet performances with mandolinist Jamie Masefield as well as, performances with greats such as Vassar Clements, Mike Gordon, Jon Fishman, and Leftover Salmon. With his stylistically precise leads and intricate melodies, Doug's distinctive guitar style provides an essential rhythmic and harmonic layer to the Dixie Red Delights.

Jen Wells, accompanies the Delights on bass with her rhythmically creative and jubilant bass lines. Jen has a vast knowledge of the music, creating perfect rhythms to add to the Delights sound.

Ben Roy is the finest young talent on drums in Vermont. With impeccable timing, unmatched energy and marvelously exciting rhythms Ben is the key melodic component .

Sitting in on Mandolin is the brilliant and inspiring playing of Matt Schrag. Matt has a way of conveying the most subtle yet dynamic leads on his instrument and has enjoyed success with number of bands in and around New England. A true Delight!
